Executive Business Partner - CEO

Come do the best work of your life at Boulevard.

Boulevard is looking for a Senior Executive Business Partner to serve as a dedicated, Nashville-based operational partner to the CEO. This role exists to create meaningful CEO leverage: protecting and strategically sequencing the CEO's time, managing priority communications, strengthening high-value external relationships, preparing the CEO for key decisions and appearances, and ensuring follow-through across the Office of the CEO.

This is a senior EBP role, not a traditional Executive Assistant role and not a shared support model. The ideal person is deeply trusted, highly autonomous, and comfortable operating in the gray area between executive support, executive operations, external relationship management, and occasional personal logistics that directly preserve CEO focus and availability.

The CEO needs a partner who can help him spend more of his time on the highest-leverage work for the business, including R&D, product, AI, Board and investor relationships, and external industry moments. This person should be able to anticipate what is coming, keep his calendar and communications running smoothly, and reduce the number of open loops the CEO has to personally hold.

This role will work closely with the Executive Support team and relevant partners across Finance, BizOps, Legal, Procurement, People, R&D, GTM, and Communications.

Executive support community of practice This role is part of Boulevard's Executive Support team and is expected to contribute to a community of practice focused on craft excellence and consistency across calendar strategy, inbox and communication systems, meeting hygiene, travel and event planning, stakeholder management, executive briefs, and feedback loops that help simplify and scale the company's operating system.

What you'll do here: CEO Strategic Partnership, Calendar Architecture & Executive Leverage

Own the CEO's complex and dynamic calendar, ensuring time is aligned to the company's highest-priority work: R&D/product/AI focus time, Board and investor moments, key customer and partner relationships, executive decision forums, company operating rhythms, and high-leverage external opportunities.

Treat the CEO's time as a strategic portfolio. Proactively sequence focus time, prep windows, relationship-building, decision forums, travel, and recovery time rather than simply responding to incoming requests.

Build deep context on company priorities, OKRs, product and R&D work, Board/investor expectations, customer and market signals, and executive team dynamics so that calendar and meeting decisions reflect business impact.

Proactively manage conflicts and tradeoffs by bringing clear options and recommendations, including when to sequence, delegate, shorten, defer, decline, route async, or assign to a better owner.

Prepare concise CEO briefs ahead of key meetings and appearances. Briefs should clarify context, why it matters, decisions needed, open questions, risks or tradeoffs, relevant pre-reads, relationship context, and recommended next steps where appropriate.

Maintain high meeting hygiene and readiness: clear purpose, right attendees, correct duration, timely pre-reads, clean logistics, and explicit follow-up owners.

Act as an early-warning system for CEO overcommitment, missed prep windows, unresolved decisions, relationship risks, or meetings that are consuming time without clear business value.

Inbox, Correspondence & Priority Communication Management

Own a reliable system for CEO inbox and priority communication triage across internal and external stakeholders, including S-team, Board members, investors, prospective investors, strategic partners, customers, industry leaders, candidates, and advisors.

Establish and maintain clear VIP filters, labels, trackers, and response rhythms so that critical threads are acknowledged, routed, drafted, escalated, or closed with minimal CEO follow-up.

Draft, edit, and route correspondence in the CEO's voice, including scheduling responses, follow-ups, thank-you notes, partner/investor replies, event-related outreach, and internal alignment notes.

Use judgment to distinguish high-value external opportunities from low-signal sales, vendor, networking, or media noise. Escalate true opportunities with concise context and a recommendation.

Maintain a priority communications log for open loops, owner, deadline, status, and next step; ensure high-stakes commitments do not disappear after the first email or Slack thread.

Coordinate with Internal Comms, Legal, People, Finance, and other owners when responses require sensitive handling, approval, or cross-functional input.

Ensure the CEO can trust that important communications are moving without needing to manually inspect every thread.
