Why this role matters We’re looking for an engineering leader who is both hands-on and product-driven. Someone who thrives on ownership, loves the ambiguity of building something new, and wants to shape systems that create delight at scale.

You will lead the next chapter of easyplant’s tech evolution. This includes launching our next-generation product, easyplant 2.0 - a fully electronic, sensor-powered version of the self-watering system. easyplant 2.0 will give customers precise insight into water levels, light exposure, and humidity. It’s a true IoT product, blending mobile software with embedded hardware, firmware, and real-time data.

You’ll also lead the rebuild of our mobile experience, architect internal tools that support global fulfillment, and enable a network of manufacturing sites with no developers on site.

What makes this role special You will work across layers of technology, from mobile apps and backend systems to embedded sensors and factory dashboards

You will shape the core product, not just its interface, influencing both what we build and how we build it

You will lead the technical effort behind easyplant 2.0, a connected device that blends real-time sensing with beautifully simple UX

You will help build fulfillment systems that operate globally, adapt to complexity, and require zero engineers on site

You will work directly with product, operations, design, marketing, and data to solve high-leverage challenges with speed and creativity

Who you are You are a hands-on engineering leader with strong technical instincts and product intuition

You have built and scaled complex systems and still love writing code

You are excited by products that mix software and hardware in unpredictable environments

You enjoy collaborating across disciplines and take pride in shared wins

You move quickly, think clearly, and adapt well when things are still in flux

You believe in thoughtful architecture, fast feedback loops, and clear ownership

You see AI as a practical tool for improving speed, quality, and creativity

We use TypeScript, React/React Native, Node, Swift, Python, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS, and plenty of AI tooling—but we’re tech-agnostic when it comes to talent.
